  2. Add a payment method.
  3. Buy Bitcoin (BTC).
  4. Send Bitcoin (BTC) to the address shown in your Dashboard.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Create a Coinbase Account
    Go to the Coinbase website or download the Coinbase app. Click Get Started and create an account using your real name, email, and a secure password. You will receive a verification email; click the link to confirm your email.
  2. Verify Your Identity
    Coinbase requires identity verification. Sign in, then upload a valid government ID such as a passport or driver’s license. This step is required before you can buy or send crypto.
  3. Set Up a Payment Method
    After logging in, go to Settings → Payment Methods and add your bank account or debit card. Bank transfers may take a few days, while debit cards allow instant purchases.
  4. Buy Bitcoin (BTC)
